I am dodsicle, a female artist, who presses flowers and paints pixels. I live and work in the Netherlands, with my two children and our dog.

 

For 20+ years I been a university lecturer and researcher in the field of cultural sociology. I have a specific interest in the way people relate to nature: the stories, the myths and the meanings that people collectively attribute to their natural environment. During my academic career, I have always created visual art and made music as a balance to my academic and analytical work.

 

When I discovered digital art and NFTs, I decided it was time for me to move to the front stage as a creator. Although working digitally was new to me, I enjoyed working in a hybrid manner, mixing traditional and digital techniques. In my latest collection I work with natural ingredients, in combination with digital collage, exploring the interconnectedness of humans and their environment.
